Heat 1: 11AM - 1PM
Heat 2: 2PM - 4PM
Finals: 5PM
Our first official RBL season kicks off on June 27th. Throughout May we will be running our preseason, so you can give it a try and learn everything you need before the season begins.
We have created a format that fairly allows climbers to climb problems within their ability level and earn points. Teams of 2-4 will compete each week to earn points that will accumulate throughout the 8-week session. Every Friday our setting team will tag 3 problems for each level that climbers will have until Thursday evening to top as many as they can to earn points. We will also have a weekly Beta Break Challenge that will be a unique climbing task that can earn you a bonus point on each of your problems.
Climbers will determine their own ability level.
Recreational: v 0-3
Intermediate: v 4-6
Advanced: v 7-9+
To learn more about the league, come in and give it a try. We will have practice score cards on hand and be able to answer any questions you may have.
Route Setting
Keeping Our Walls Fresh.
We set new boulders twice/week to keep our returning climbers on their toes! Our setting team prioritizes quality and consistency to create an excellent experience for all climbers.
We value projecting boulders, and we also value presenting our community with new bouldering problems. To hold this balance, we communicate regular setting times that allow our climbers enough time to work on old projects and discover new ones.
A map of our sets can be seen in the back of the gym with details about how many sets of each difficulty are, when the next reset is, and where that reset will be. Each boulder will stay on the wall for two months. We set twice a week, stripping a section one day, and filling in that section another day.
Diverse Climbing Styles.
Our desire is for climbers of all skill levels to experience a myriad of climbing styles. We accomplish this by being intentional with each boulder that we set, forerunning every problem with our entire team. Our setters emphasize constructive criticism and value humility within the team.
Intricate Climbs at All Grades.
An inordinate aspect of bouldering is the satisfaction that accomplishing a challenge brings. Our team leans into this by creating challenging yet achievable boulders for all skill levels so that new and experienced climbers alike will share in the joy of completing something interesting.
